Chris Lapinig Advocates for Immigration Law Aimed at Uniting Veterans’ Families

Chris Lapinig (’15), Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice, contributed an editorial to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser supporting the Uniting Families Act, proposed immigration legislation which would permit U.S. veterans’ adult children born abroad to come to the United States (“Column: Help U.S. Vets Reunite with Their Children Stranded Abroad,” May 3). “With Congress and the White House seriously considering immigration reform, it is imperative that veterans and their children stranded abroad do not get overlooked once again. . . . I urge the people of Hawaii to contact Sens. Hirono and Schatz and call upon them to introduce the Uniting Families Act in the U.S. Senate.”
