Julie Su (’94), Acting U.S. Secretary of Labor, contributed an opinion to Newsweek outlining steps the Biden administration is taking to combat child labor exploitation and hold employers accountable (“Companies Must Protect Children From Dangerous Jobs,” Feb. 2). “[O]ne child working in a hazardous environment is one too many. . . . [W]e are calling on companies profiting from child labor to take responsibility for the egregious, sometimes deadly harm inflicted on children throughout their supply chains. . . . Everyone must do their part to protect children and end the scourge of child labor as we know it.”
