Jonathan Harris Reports on Widening TRAPs in Employment Contracts

Jonathan Harris (’10), Associate Professor of Law at Loyola Law School, was quoted in The New York Times discussing the increasing number of workers subject to stay-or-pay clauses (“Pay Thousands to Quit Your Job? Some Employers Say So.” Nov. 20). Estimating that millions of people may be subject to training repayment agreement provisions (TRAPs) common in health care, transportation and technology, Jonathan noted, “Not a month goes by that I don’t hear about a new industry that is using TRAPs.”
