Annie Lo Champions Right-to-Know Requests for Proposed 76ers Arena Communications

Annie Lo (’23), current Fellow with Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, was quoted by AsAmNews discussing concerns over the proposed 76ers Arena’s impact on the Chinatown community and right-to-know requests AALDEF and the Advocacy for Racial and Civil (ARC) Justice Clinic submitted to the city government over communications with developers about “76 Place” (“AAPI Advocacy Groups Submit Request for Info on 76ers Arena Communications,” Oct. 24). “Community members deserve a say in decisions affecting their city, and part of that is knowing what’s been said by decision makers in the rooms they’re not invited into. . . . These information requests will help shed light on the conversations between elected officials and the developers that have been taking place behind closed doors. As a matter of public interest, information about the arena proposal must be made available to community members — especially those who would be most impacted by the plan.”
