Song Richardson Remarks on College Admissions Process Post-Affirmative Action Ruling
Song Richardson (’93), president of Colorado College, was quoted in The New York Times about the 6-3 Supreme Court ruling in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, and how the decision could lead to more subjective, “race-neutral” admissions processes in order to admit diverse students (“With Supreme Court Decision, College Admissions Could Become More Subjective,” June 29). “If we believe that talent is equally distributed, then you would expect an unbiased recruitment process to result in a diverse class,” Song said.
