Dillon Reisman (‘21), current Fellow with the ACLU of New Jersey, was quoted in NJ Spotlight News raising concerns over privacy infringement, misidentification and overpolicing, as schools in Newark, New Jersey consider security system upgrades implementing facial recognition (“Artificial Intelligence Could Come to Newark Public Schools. What Does That Mean for Student Privacy and Safety?” May 24). “These new technologies cost schools millions of dollars for systems and functionality and tools that the school might not need, or worse, might actively harm students.”
