Cynthia Godsoe Calls for Prosecutorial Accountability

Cynthia Godsoe (’99), Brooklyn Law School Professor of Law, was quoted in The New York Times after she and other law professors published complaints against 17 New York prosecutors in an effort to compel grievance committee review for prosecutorial misconduct (“Court Win Bolsters Push to Highlight Prosecutors’ Misconduct,” Jul. 22). “We are trying to make systemic change, to make the grievance committee or more broadly the government, do their job. We want to shed a spotlight: What are they actually doing? People have a right to know.”
