Moriah Wilkins Advocates for Tenants as Virginia’s Eviction Protections Expire

Moriah Wilkins (’21), current Fellow with Legal Aid Justice Center, was quoted in C-VILLE Weekly revealing how Virginia’s non-renewal of leases creates “covert evictions” and recommending steps people facing eviction should take as protections expire (“Kicked Out – Local Resident Fights Eviction Case as State Protections End,” July 13). “There are not really any protections. Giving us a call [and] providing us with the facts or any documents you have can make a difference, and might give you a shot of staying in your home.”
