Steph Rudolph (’11), Deputy Director of JustFix.nyc, was quoted in City Limits discussing the city’s failure of enforcement in response to illegal housing bias against renters with subsidies, as New York’s City’s Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) Source of Income (SOI) Unit loses last employee (“NYC’s Long-Understaffed Voucher Discrimination Unit Now Has Zero Employees,” Apr. 13). “It is truly heartbreaking to see such a powerful unit dissolve. . . . The city’s failure to fund CCHR and, in addition, CCHR’s own failure to internally support the SOI unit actively harms the most under-resourced New Yorkers—those from historically oppressed communities, those with disabilities and those most in need of stable housing.”
