Becca Heller Advocates to Resettle Afghan Refugees

Becca Heller (’10), Executive Director of the International Refugee Assistance Project, which is working with the State Department to assist Afghan refugees, was quoted in The New York Times responding to concerns over mass resettlement of Afghans who provided support to the United States during its mission in Afghanistan (“Series of U.S. Actions Left Afghan Allies Frantic, Stranded and Eager to Get Out,” Aug. 18). “It’s pretty rich, considering we trusted these people enough to put the lives of U.S. forces in their hands but not to bring them to U.S. soil.”
