Stacey Violante Cote Celebrates Win as Connecticut Enacts State ID Provision for Homeless Youth

Stacey Violante Cote (’01), Director of Operations for the Center for Children’s Advocacy, was quoted in the non-profit’s press release celebrating the passage of Connecticut House Bill 6666 (signed by Governor Lamont on July 6) which provides for youth experiencing homelessness to obtain a copy of their birth certificate and state ID at no cost (“Connecticut Passes Crucial ID Bill for Youth Experiencing Homelessness,” June 14). “Young people told us what they need to move out of homelessness. We advocated for their needs, the state agencies responded positively, and we were able to bring it to the finish line.”
