Cassie Stubbs Comments on Celebrity Publicity of Death Penalty Cases

Cassie Stubbs (’01), Director of the Capital Punishment Project at the ACLU, was quoted by The Marshall Project discussing the double-edged impact of celebrity activism in individual death penalty cases (“Everyone on Death Row Gets a Lawyer. Not Everyone Gets a Kim Kardashian.” July 16). “Celebrity involvement is useful for raising up some of the injustices of the criminal justice system that we would not otherwise know.
