Alex Thier Joins Group of Global Anti-Slavery Leaders in Calling for Urgent G7 Action

Alex Thier (’01), Chief Executive Officer of Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, coauthored a piece for The Times urging specific and measurable commitments on behalf of G7 leaders to eliminate forced labor in the G7 supply chain (“To Build Back Better We Must Eradicate Slavery in G7 Supply Chains,” June 8). “No supply chain is too complex to trace. No country or company, however powerful, is immune from the combined pressure of markets and citizens, consumers and journalists. Each survivor deserves a shot at freedom and dignity. It is time for the world’s leading economies to come together and ensure that the early 21st century was the moment that we ended the scourge of slavery for good.”
