Catherine Powell (’94), Fordham University School of Law Professor, contributed an opinion to CNN looking back a year after coining the phrase the “Color of Covid” and discussing steps the Biden administration may take to promote equity through health and economic recovery (“A Year on, the ‘Color of Covid’ Still Matters,” Mar. 26). “Looking forward, the Biden administration should take additional steps to address the race and gender structural inequalities that the pandemic unmasked. The executive orders the President has recently issued on race and gender equity are laudable first steps. Beyond this, Biden needs to re-imagine the future of work.”
