Dror Ladin (‘12), Staff Attorney at the ACLU National Security Project, was quoted in a New York Times article regarding the Ninth Circuit Court’s ruling the Trump Administration’s $2.5 billion transfer of Department of Defense dollars to the border wall without congressional approval violated the Appropriations Clause (“Appeals Court Rejects Trump’s Diversion of Military Funds for Border Wall,” June 26). “President Trump’s xenophobic wall is already leveling protected lands, desecrating cultural sites and destroying wildlife. There’s no undoing the damage that’s been done, but we will be back before the Supreme Court to finally put a stop to this destructive wall.”
