Fellow Julie Veroff (‘18), Attorney at the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project, was quoted by NBC News regarding an ACLU victory after a federal judge ruled the Trump Administration’s “third-country asylum rule,” illegal for failing to meet federal Administrative Procedure Act requirements (“Judge Overturns Trump Border Rule Requiring Immigrants to First Claim Asylum in Another Country,” July 1). “The court recognized that the Trump administration unlawfully skipped steps mandated by Congress to ensure transparency in its failed attempt to make an end-run around asylum protections.”
