Cody Wofsy Celebrates Win for Asylum Seekers as Federal Appeals Court Blocks Trump Administration Policies

Cody Wofsy (‘15), Staff Attorney at ACLU Immigrants’ Rights Project, was quoted in Politico regarding a victory for women seeking asylum from domestic abuse and gang violence, after the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked Trump administration policies that would unreasonably elevate the standards for establishing a “credible fear” (“Appeals Court Blocks Administration Effort to Weaken Protections for Asylum-Seekers,” July 17). “The court rejected the Trump administration’s attempt to obliterate asylum protections. This ruling is a major defeat for the administration’s assault on asylum rights and the law.”
