Workers’ Voice Must be Heard: Ben Sachs Issues Report on Redesigning the Law of Work in Pandemic

Ben Sachs (‘99), Professor of Labor and Industry at Harvard Law School, co-authored an article for OnLabor calling for worker voice in creating safer workplaces, adapting collective action to the current environment, protecting public sector employment and other legal reforms (“Why Workers Need Voice on the Job Now More than Ever,” July 13). “To stem this tide of workplace transmission we need fundamental changes in the way we approach worker voice and power. Workers need the power to demand new ways to keep themselves and their families safe and to build a more equitable economy than the one the pandemic shut down.”
