She also commented on data showing a dramatic decrease in detention center populations on Public News Service, "Fewer Young People in Detention During Pandemic," Apr. 27). "This work shows that detention can be reduced … it actually will not increase crime or threaten the safety of our communities. It will actually do just the opposite."
