Jonathan F. Harris (’10), an assistant professor at NYU School of Law, co-authored a column for the legal website Justia spotlighting COVID-19’s exposure of supply chain vulnerabilities in the wake of offshoring and the loss of domestic manufacturing jobs (“Bringing Home the Supply Chain,” April 15). “What if the U.S. government and firms took this as a call to invest in their own workforces by enrolling the millions of unemployed workers in robust retraining and upskilling programs promoting high-quality jobs?” Jonathan asked.
