Former Fellow Paul Sonn (’94), the state policy program director at the National Employment Law Project, was quoted in a story in The New York Times about how decades-long program disinvestment is challenging newly unemployed New Yorkers’ ability to complete steps to access benefits (“He Needs Jobless Benefits. He Was Told To Find a Fax Machine,” April 4). “New York is not a leading state in providing economic security for jobless workers,” Paul said.
