Muneer Ahmad Argues To Keep DACA First Responders on the Job

Former Fellow Muneer Ahmad (’97), a law professor at Yale University, represented young undocumented immigrants who are part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and work in health care, many of them employed providing care for patients fighting the coronavirus. He commented on his case for an article in The New York Times (“‘Dreamers’ Tell Supreme Court Ending DACA During Pandemic Would Be ‘Catastrophic,’” March 27). “The pandemic casts into sharp relief how catastrophic the termination of DACA would be at this point,” Muneer said.
