Maya Wiley Reports Status of New York City

Former Fellow Maya Wiley (’92), a legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC, wrote an article for NBC’s Think newsletter analyzing the New York state complaint challenging federally imposed travel restrictions (“Trump’s Feud With New York Isn’t Going Away Soon. Here’s Who Will Suffer as a Result,” March 5). “Under the Constitution, Homeland Security would need a compelling reason to deny New York residents federal privileges that the residents of other states get,” Maya said. Maya also wrote a column for “The Bklyner.” newsletter describing gaps in pandemic relief packages for small business owners who work collectively but have no employees (“Falling Through The Cracks — Brooklyn’s Service Businesses Worry About Survival,” March 19)
