Former Fellow Ajmel Quereshi (’08), senior counsel at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, was quoted in an article in The Baltimore Sun about his case to secure inflation-adjusted state funding for Maryland city schools (“School Funding Lawsuit Filed by Civil Rights Groups Can Continue, Judge Says,” Jan. 21). “It is beyond time that Maryland meet its constitutional obligation to provide all students — including the thousands of African-American children in Baltimore — the education they need and deserve,” Ajmel said.
