Former Fellow Sarah St. Vincent (’11), the director of Cornell Tech’s Computer Security Clinic, wrote for Education Week’s “Digital Education” blog about the implications of a new report from the National Institute of Science and Technology that tested the accuracy of facial recognition technologies (“Facial Recognition Tech Discriminates. Ten Questions To Ask About K-12 Use,” Dec. 31). “It’s really chilling that so clearly the more layers of oppression you are probably experiencing, the less accurate facial recognition will be for you,” Sarah said.
