Patricia Okonta Weighs In on Representation in the Workplace

Former Fellow Patricia Okonta (’18), an attorney with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, commented on racial discrimination provisions for a story in the Washington Post (“More States Are Trying To Protect Black Employees Who Want To Wear Natural Hairstyles at Work,” Sept. 19). Patricia discussed new legislation that “recognizes that people should have access to opportunities and resources regardless of their hair texture and regardless of their race.”
