Former Fellow Matt Meyer (’02), the New Castle, Delaware, county executive, wrote an op-ed for Delaware Online about the need to address climate change at the local level and New Castle County’s efforts to do so (“Here's How New Castle County Plans to Protect the Environment,” Aug. 26). “We must act locally,” Matt wrote. “This week we announced the boldest green agenda in our county’s history, to combat climate change, to improve water quality, to limit sprawl development and to preserve plant and animal ecosystems.”
