Elizabeth Kristen Discusses Limited Protections for LGBTQ Workers

Former Fellow Elizabeth Kristen (’02), the director of the Gender Equity and LGBT Rights program at Legal Aid at Work, was interviewed for an article on the Center for Public Integrity’s website about the lack of a federal law that definitively prohibits LGBTQ discrimination in the workplace (“A Patchwork of Anti-Discrimination Laws Don’t Protect LGBTQ Workers,” Aug. 25). “The problem is when you’re a [minority] getting change at the legislative level is really, really difficult,” Elizabeth said.
