Former Fellow Haben Girma (’13) was profiled in a Wall Street Journal article that discussed her work to further disability rights around the globe (“Haben Girma Is a Trailblazer for the Deaf and Blind,” Aug. 2). Haben is a deafblind graduate of Harvard Law School. “Ms. Girma has devoted her life to subverting the presumption that disability is a tragedy or that someone born unable to hear or see is somehow helpless or unteachable,” the article said.
