Sarah St. Vincent Discusses ICE’s Secret Use of State Databases

Former Fellow Sarah St. Vincent (’11) was quoted in a story in The Guardian about Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers accessing state driver’s license databases to search millions of people’s photos without their knowledge ("Immigration Agency Secretly Searches Millions of Americans’ ID Photos," July 8). "States have tried to improve people’s lives and people’s ability in this country to move around by giving them the ability to drive," Sara said. "But are the states ensuring that [the information collected is] not used in a way that abuses rights?"
