Jaribu Hill Announces Support From Times Up Legal Defense Fund

Former Fellow Jaribu Hill (’95) announced that the the Mississippi Workers’ Center for Human Rights, which she founded, became one of the first organizations in the state to receive funding by the Times Up Legal Defense Fund. In the funded case, MWCHR is representing a 56-year-old African-American woman pursue claims of sexual harassment and retaliation. "My client is … one of the most courageous women I have ever been privileged to know," Jaribu stated. "Thanks to Times Up Legal Defense Fund, more lower-wage women workers in underserved communities will have a chance to tell their stories and forge change in the workplace."
