Former Fellow Ajmel Quereshi (’08) was mentioned in a Washington Post story about a lawsuit he filed demanding that a Maryland school system drop the fees it charges students for summer school ("Prince George’s County students challenge summer-school fees, fighting for free public education," July 13). "The policy affects thousands of children," Ajmel told the paper. "And the system includes many families for whom class fees could be a burden; about 80,000 students qualified for free or reduced-price meals because of their family’s income level."
