Udi Ofer Sets Forth Prescriptions for Prison Reform

Former Fellow Udi Ofer (’01) drafted an op-ed for the ACLU’s website outlining a series of measures that the next president should take in order to end a “shameful era” in criminal justice (“The Next President Can Cut Incarceration Rates in Half,” May 23). “The next president must tackle the country’s mass incarceration crisis in a way that restores fundamental civil liberties, upholds human dignity, combats racial injustice, prioritizes rehabilitation, and leads to safer and healthier communities,” Udi wrote.
