Former Fellow Patrice Kunesh (’89) reviewed a study of economic mobility for Native children in an article posted to the Center for Indian Country Development’s website (“The Landscape of Opportunity in Indian Country: A Discussion of Data From the Opportunity Atlas,” April 30). “From the sample of communities in this data, [the author’s] analysis makes me think that the landscape for opportunity for Native peoples is tribal land itself,” Patrice wrote. “We are eager to unlock the potential of those lands for the prosperity and well-being of Native peoples everywhere.”
