Judith Browne Dianis Writes About Opposition to Gentrification

Former Fellow Judith Browne Dianis (’92) wrote an article for The Root about efforts across the country to slow the gentrification of black neighborhoods (“Black People Are Fighting Against Gentrification and for the Heart and Soul of Their Cities,” April 18). “The new white settlers in our cities are not just new neighbors, they are colonizers, settling and establishing control over land and existing ways of life,” Judith wrote. “People of color across the country are fighting for the hearts and souls of their cities.”
