Incoming Fellow Hugh Baran (’19) published an article, “In Croson’s Wake: Affirmative Action, Local Hiring, and the Ongoing Struggle to Diversify America’s Building and Construction Trades,” in the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law (December 2018). The article “aims to offer both a historical and doctrinal corrective to accounts of the decline of equal opportunity initiatives targeting the building and construction trades.”
