Haben Girma Set to Publish Memoir

Former Fellow Haben Girma (’13) is releasing her memoir, “Haben: The Deafblind Woman Who Conquered Harvard Law,” in August. In a prepublication review, Publishers Weekly wrote, “With wit and passion, Haben, a disability rights lawyer, public speaker, and the first deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law, takes readers through her often unaccommodating world. This is a heartwarming memoir of a woman who champions access and dignity for all.” Haben also was profiled on the website Girl Talk HQ (“Harvard Law School’s First Deafblind Graduate Fighting for Disability Rights and Inclusion in Hollywood,” April 25).
