Gregory Chen Discusses Attorney General’s Asylum Declaration

Former Fellow Gregory Chen (’98) was quoted in a Los Angeles Times story about Attorney General William Barr’s declaration that detained asylum-seekers who have shown a “credible fear” of returning to their home country will no longer be able to ask a judge to grant them bond (“Asylum Seekers Who Show Credible Fear Will No Longer Be Eligible for Bond,” April 16). “There will be many, many people who are not going to even have the opportunity to apply for release now,” Gregory said.
