Former Fellow Ajmel Qureshi (’08), senior counsel at LDF, was quoted in a press release on LDF’s website about the Baltimore City Council’s passing of a resolution supporting a lawsuit challenging inadequate state funding for the city’s schools (“Baltimore City Council Passes Resolution Supporting Suit Against Maryland State Board of Education Over Constitutionally-Inadequate Funding for Baltimore Schools,” April 29). The site also reported on a case worked on by Fellow Cara McClellan (’17) involving strip searches of students (“Lawsuit Filed Against School District That Illegally Strip Searched 12-Year-Old Black and Latina Students,” April 29).
