Former Fellow Susan Shin (’06) appeared on NY1’s “Inside City Hall” (Feb. 15) to discuss a lawsuit filed by the New Economy Project against the New York City Transit Authority, which alleges that the agency is enforcing judgments against riders for decades-old infractions and seizing their tax refunds without their knowledge. “The lawsuit shines a light on the racial and economic injustice caused by the MTA’s Kafkaesque practices,” Susan said.
