Minju Cho Discusses Lawsuit Challenging End of Protected Status

Fellow Minju Cho (’18) talked with The Sacramento Bee about a lawsuit brought by Asian Americans Advancing Justice alleging that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s decision to end temporary protected status for Honduras and Nepal was motivated by racism (“More Immigrants Sue US Over End to Protected Status,” Feb. 11). “We bring evidence the Trump administration has repeatedly denigrated nonwhite, non-European immigrants and reviewed TPS designations with a goal of removing such nonwhite, non-European immigrants from the United States,” Minju said. Former Fellow Chris Lapinig (‘15) also helped draft the complaint.
