Kelly Head Discusses Laws Affecting Trafficking Victims

Fellow Kelly Head (’17) co-authored an article in Delaware’s largest newspaper, The News Journal, about the need to expand the state’s expungement law for human trafficking victims (“Delaware Laws Should Help Human Trafficking Victims Rebuild Their Lives,” Feb. 18). “Many survivors have criminal convictions that are directly related to their trafficking victimization,” Kelly wrote. “A criminal record revictimizes a survivor by forcing her to relive her victimization every time she discloses her criminal history on job applications, and by making it nearly impossible to obtain … stable employment.”
