Monica Teixeira de Sousa Discusses Federal Education Action

Former Fellow Monica Teixeira de Sousa (’02) wrote an article for the Providence Journal about a federal lawsuit filed in Rhode Island asking for recognition of a constitutional right to an education sufficient to enable participation in the democratic process (“My Turn: Rhode Island Children Cut Off From Civics,” Jan. 9). “A.C. v. Raimondo elegantly builds upon decades of school funding litigation to put forth [a] legal theory the U.S. Supreme Court might soon embrace,” Monica wrote.
