Jonathan Topaz Writes About 2020 Census

Fellow Jonathan Topaz (’18) authored an article for the ACLU’s website about the federal court decision blocking the addition of a question about citizenship to the 2020 census (“Court Blocks Trump’s Plan to Add a Citizenship Question to 2020 Census,” Jan. 15). “Experts agreed that asking about citizenship on a decennial census survey would have an inevitable and predictable consequence: It would drive down participation and skew the accuracy of the count,” Jonathan wrote.
