Former Fellow Matthew Feigin (‘02) published an article in the New York Law Journal about the New York Legislature’s efforts to mitigate the effects on alimony of the 2017 federal tax bill (“The Alimony Deduction Lives on in New York … With a Few New Loopholes,” Dec. 31). “The FY19 state budget achieved its major aim,” Matthew wrote. “One can only wonder whether the ‘loopholes’ ... will be closed when the Legislature reconvenes.”
