Fellow Veryl Pow (’17) was quoted in a Baltimore Sun article about a lawsuit he helped file against an East Baltimore bail bonds company, which alleges that the company operated an unlicensed subsidiary that preyed on low-income families (“Civil Rights Lawyers in D.C. Sue East Baltimore Bail Bonds Company, Alleging It’s Unlicensed,” Nov. 20). “This lawsuit is about deterring shady actors who are attempting to use the state judicial system to collect on unlawful contracts,” Veryl said.
