Mary Gilberti Writes About ‘Junk’ Health Care Plans

Former Fellow Mary Giliberti (’93) wrote an article for Salon about the potential impact of the Trump administration’s “junk” health care plans on people in need of mental health care (“Trump’s ‘Junk’ Health Care Plans Threaten People With Mental Illnesses,” Oct. 21). “The Trump Administration argues that these [short-term, limited-duration insurance] plans provide ‘much less expensive health care at a much lower price’ — but the reality is that these plans discriminate against people with mental illness, leaving them without the coverage they need and deserve,” Mary wrote.
