Emily Zhang Discusses New York’s Voter Registration Laws

Fellow Emily Rong Zhang (’17) wrote an op-ed for Medium.com about the “unnecessary and outdated burden” presented by New York’s requirement that voters register at least 25 days in advance of the election, and the efforts by the ACLU and others to reform the law (“New York Registration Deadline Prevents Tens of Thousands From Voting,” Nov. 7). “The [requirement’s] consequences are severe.
