Former Fellow Casey Raymond (’16) helped secure a citation by the California Labor Commissioner for $834,000 in unpaid wages and penalties against SanamLuang Café, a popular Thai restaurant in Los Angeles. The citation stems from Casey’s efforts to protect workers at the restaurant who were regularly paid less than $5 an hour and often worked more than 10 hours a day with no overtime pay or meal or rest breaks.
