Susan Pearlstein Discusses Protective Orders for Domestic Violence

Former Fellow Susan Pearlstein (’98) was quoted in a Broadly article about the effectiveness of various forms of protective orders for victims of domestic violence (“How Much Protection Do Protective Orders Provide?” Aug. 9). “The whole process is pretty difficult, and it can be traumatizing, especially if you’re on your own,” Susan said. “Many clients become so exhausted and traumatized by the numerous court proceedings they must initiate and/or attend that they give up and don’t renew a protection order.”
